Client Extension suddenly stopped working

Last night I logged in on the server for a bit, then I quit the game, went to bed and didn't touch my computer all day today until now. Now, trying to start the game through my usual client extension shortcut, I get the error message below:
I have followed those instructions to the letter and they work the first time. I start the game without the CE, hit apply on that little file, and the CE comes on. However, if I quit the game and try to start it again using the CE shortcut, I'll get the same error message again. I have been playing the game on this computer with the CE for months without problems.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
