Dear forum & community

I am new at the server and would like to hear if somebody would be interested in joining/creating a party at the server? I was thinking we could perhaps meet at an agreed time every week or more when we play together?

I am from Europe and plays mostly during evenings.

Anybody interested?

I am interested! I have found it difficult to find beginning characters to adventure with my own beginning character and it seems like everyone is an epic character that sits around campfires being surly. Surly is fine and dandy but doesn't do much for creating opportunities. Once, twice, thrice per week sounds good to me and maybe others will come along for a ride. I am also in europa times zone nights and end of week. I have a Cleric character now at level 3, but also want to play a monk map-maker / road warrior, that could start as fresh as they come within this group.

Any ideas of background or reason to find each other for adventuring forth? Any restrictions that would better bind the party together?

I am perhaps a bit too high now being lvl 10, but I support the idea. It's always cool seeing new adventuring groups formed. Feel free to PM me ingame if you want to wander around.

I am currently a 3rd level barbarian (half-orc) but I could also start with a new character (probably some kind of fighter/barbarian) and it could be a human. That would perhaps make it easier with regards to party harmony and party background. Probably NG alignment.

I am open to any kind of ideas with regards to party background. Some could perhaps be:

1. Childhood friends and they come from the same small village outside BG. But they had to leave due to some reason...
2. Former members of a small militia but things went awry.

Your 10th level Cleric could be a great addition as mentor or helpful hand. For some time the level difference would make adventuring offbalance but depending on circumstances there may be a level equalization after some time. We will see.

#1 sounds great. Childhood friends could cause too many limitations around Race and Class however. #2 is a broader background with possibilities and individual backgrounds are easier to imagine and less responsibility to know everything about the characters from the get go because some players may want secrets that take time to come out in rp.

If you wanted to get specific to the setting it could be a background that all our characters tried to make it in the Flaming Fist but were rejected because of lack of talent, and at the same time, so our characters looked around to each other and said "hey, we are not losers but have desire to make name for ourselves" and reject being rejected and go adventure instead. It does not have to be more complicated than that and funny enough creates a little friction against authority but more energy towards proving our own merit over time.

NG alignment or NG, LN, CN could make it interesting to balance or not balance motivations.

The OP poster has not logged in since this post. But idea is still good and wanted to see. I made my map-maker character, now Level 4. If there are others with new pcs around this level and want to adventure explore the server and have ideas for why our group can come together, lets do this! Still european evenings mostly and weekends work too.

Something else you could do is find a cause that your characters would rally behind, or maybe a place where you heard work is available.

Figure out your group concept, then peruse the forum factions on BGTSCC: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=20110

Are you of a goodly sort? The Temple of Ilmater, Order of the Radiant Heart or the Most Radiant Church of Lathander has work available (or maybe one of you is an aspiring cleric or paladin).

Are you "Team what's in it for me"? Message the Mercantile groups like the Thayan Embassy, Ebon Blade Mercenaries or Rocky Creek Trading Company.

Send a brief IC synopsis like:

"A group of wandering adventurers comes to the doors of (faction name) seeking work for coin." Or whatever. Tell them your deadline OOC: "// We would like to hear back within three days so we can adventure this weekend." Tell them when you are online so you all can arrange a meeting in game.

The faction lead or someone in the faction could give you a task:
* Map out these nearby mines and report a threat
* Take these caravan goods along these dangerous roads
* Hunt down a monster of renown and bring back its head for a reward
* Find a sacrifice for the appeasement of our dark god (Corellon Latherian for instance) and bring it back alive

That type of adventure group was my first introduction to this server, and Thids served as our quest giver if I correctly recall. Maybe players who are interested in a quest giving role could also chime in here. Players can also play a throwaway NPC for you to capture. "Find and capture the notorious bandit Benny MacGillicutty."

I would be glad to roll-up a front line cleric to aid the party. I have played a cleric of Waukeen in the past. He RP'ed his dungeon diving as working for merchants that have had there caravans raided and he has been hired to recover there stolen goods. Send me a PM or a tell if you see me on-line (OXHawkXO).

Difficulty is in timezones. Timezones! Hard to find regular others in timezone or make date every week.

I propose treasure hunters who need to have blessings in travel and in sales of acquired goods. That means not only capable hands for acquiring, but skills for post adventure trades. And RP.

What times and timezone are for you? Others?

Dont forget to use the #LFG channel on Discord to help with finding potential folks to group with. You dont have to be specific with the level part, but letting folks know you are on the surface or underdark and low, mid or high level will make sure you are paired with others so you get xp. Or if you dont want to go killing stuff, #LFG for some RP.
