[Resolved] Divinate spell casting

When using divinate extend spells, if you queue up the spells and cast them too fast, not all of them get extended, so this means I have to wait like half a round before casting another spell or otherwise it doesn't get extended.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks.

As far as I know there is no way around it. You basically wait a round between buffs. It has been recommended in the past to count to six between each buff- I forgot who recommended it but that guarantees the next buff will be extended.
It is a bit of a pain but it is not terrible.
At least you are not a thaumaturgist buffing two pets plus yourself. Those poor bastards have it the hardest. :P

Hey there,

Valefort tried to replicate and didn't get this issue. Can you provide which spells do not get extended? Note that any spell that expressly states it cannot be extended is also not extended by divinate. That said perhaps if we could have some specific spells to test it would help us pinpoint this issue.

thanks,

I read in some old forum post that even the combat log does not state that the spell is extended, it actually does.

Here the combat log shows protection from evil, aura of glory and hand of divinity not showing Extended.

If what the other person says it's true, then what's not working is whatever tells the game it was extended or not. I personally have not tested if they actually get extended when it doesn't say so.

thus far nothing appears to be wrong in the code, and breakage seems to be at random, but we'll continue to look in to it and see if something can be done.

EDIT: Just wondering, have you timed the spells to see if the issue is that the message doesn't fire, but the actual spell duration is extended or if those spells where no message fires truly do expire early? I know this would be a pain to test with anything other than round/level spells, especially by the time you have level 4 spells but I am just wondering if the issue is only with the message triggering, vs. the actual durations?

I never used the unextended spells so no clue, I can test it with a few short duration spells when I can.

Should be pretty easy, queue up a list of spells, as soon as one fails start timer and see how long it lasts. If you don't get time I can roll up a QC character on Friday and try running some tests

I tested, tested and re-tested and came to the conclusion that the auto extend is working correctly, it's just the yellow text won't tell you all spells are extended, but they are, I timed them and they all get extended no matter how fast you cast them.
