Hi there! I was just wondering why has Tree Stride been nerfed with a 600gp casting cost?

In PnP it just requires a divine focus (i.e. holy symbol).

That seems inordinately expensive considering you can get almost anywhere for 50gp by caravan/boat. Any chance it could be removed, or at least reduced to something sane?

(I guess the same is true of Teleportation, though I've never played a Wiz/Sor)

Teleportation spells are designed to be gold sinks due to being just a luxury service that you don't actually need. Tree Stride is actually one of the cheaper kinds. Won't be changed, sorry.

But if it is just a luxury and provides no material benefit, then why the penalty?

Seems like giving someone a really cool ability and saying "but we will punish you if you use it"

Oh well, if it won't be changed it won't be changed! I've survived without it so far.
