"oh you can see me?..well then...which one is the real me." *5 copies appear*

Nore - the crafty illusionist

neutral evil - will be more evil when i can do something about it

nore is a half elf. He was raises by his elven mother away from humans for most of the time. as a youngster by elven standards he was always getting in trouble and causing trouble for his mother. He studied magic with his peers but wasnt the most attentive learner.

got tired of causing trouble for himself and his mom became very good at disguising himself and throwing others off his tracks.

if successful he never gets credit for his accomplishments.
if unsuccessful hes really good at running away.

the human in him wields a dagger and other small sharp weapons as well as tools and traps which he learned to use to stave off bullies who were ahead of him in their magical studies or elders who were already fed up with him.

the elf in him did actually learn some while living with his mother he does know the weave and how to study it as well as several magical languages though his studies have always been focused on augmenting his trickery.

alright ill be back this is just bullet points and ideas and thoughts.

Seasons pass in baldurs gate without direction or many events when a stranger would pass off a magical ring to nore. upon rubbing the ring the djinni trapped inside was under nores control. Nore commanded the Djini to help him find knowledge of stronger illusionary magic knowing that most illusion spells were well known around the land.
the Djini baring no allegiance or motive other than to fulfill the command led Nore to knowledge about the shadow weave. Although he's only found access to basic understanding of the shadow weave Nore logged his findings in his book titled "Discoveries of the Shadow Weave". It being the only copy and written by himself Nore searched for other studious scholars at the Candlekeep Library. But before he could reach the fortified library he stopped considering how his notes might be perceived. For now Nore studies in private along with his Djin servant.

Nores training presses on. After an encounter with Shadows from the shadow plane Nore begins to realize the danger of the shadow weave and shadow stuff.... and also its power. He would begin to spend more time studying that practicing sneaking and stealing and stabbing in favor of practicing what he's learned.

im just making shit up based on stuff that happens in game by the way, to flesh out and roleplay my levels and feats because i do roleplay levels and feats. its all subject to change pending a DM telling me im meta gaming. nore is now 9th level and with the devout believer feat or whatever begins to dawn the colors and symbols of SHAR as he pushes for her favor during his research on the shadow weave.

Harassed today by a bunch of untraveled knaves who wore the armor and weapons of someone who has seen many lands and many people. Even in all their experience their world views are limited to the rulers of baldurs gate. Even in all their highly magical equipment choose to patrol lower baldurs gate and the outlying farms to flex their status on those the "law" allows them to. This is why Shar needs me, there is an imbalance between light and dark here and that which operates under the title of goodness does so with malace intent to serve the greed that fuels the city.

Even the less intelligent know shar and her darkness are just as much apart of life as her sister and her light. Even the good at heart know to pray to shar for lost items and to relinquish dark thought or for protection in the night where shar sees all. But the so called heroes here have their lips planted firmly on the asses of the merchant leaders and the flaming fists.
