Most of you in the community have reached out to me via discord asking me why ive been inactive and when I would returning. While I am grateful to hear that some of you are still interested in my activity I do however have some bad news to what your hoping to hear.

First off, will I be returning to BG? - Likely no, to the many who have reached out to me via discord you already know this answer. But now that more people seem to be asking I feel that making this a public announcement is better.

Why am I not returning? - Many of you know me as a very ambitious player and creator in the BGTSCC community. Each time I put my time and effort into this server I wish to throw both my heart and soul into the character and the interactions that come out of RPing and interacting with me IC and OOC. The main issue with this is that, with my level of ambition and creativity ive felt for a long time that the return for the time and effort I was putting in was simply not enough. There were many times ive felt that I was either forgotten about by the community and / or the DM team in the midst of my game-play, story arcs, and plots. While other times feeling as if for the amount of players who backed my ideas and the time I invested into the ideas I wanted to push, the progression of carrying out my ideas I had were snails pace or illusionary entirely based off what the DM Team could offer me at the time or WANTED to offer me to begin with. I know that the current pandemic does have an effect in this but that was also a realization for me that maybe the DM Team during these times IRL couldn't offer me what I was hoping to achieve with the time-sheet they had.

Don't take this as me leaving with a sour in my mouth. BG is still a great place to find interesting and enjoyable elements of game-play and role-play you can't find anywhere else. I also still have a great relationship with alot of you in the community as well.

But in saying this I fear that maybe my lust for the role I want to play in this server is just impossible to fulfill or cannot be fulfilled during this pandemic occurring in the real world. So at this point I am just going to take the hint and find another place I can attempt to play the character and the role I really want without feeling like my efforts are all for nothing.

Me too what made me withdraw from it is the extreme difficulty to have events try allow you achieving things.

I offered to be a DM and abandon my PC but was refused.

But there is a solid reason for this, I speak a poor English. It is a defect for a DM. It's like a writer who wouldn't write well ^^


It is a problem without solution, everywhere. Not a critic against the DMs. There are simply not enough active DMs to do custom and followed events.

So if you are a hardcore isolated character like yours and me, you suffer (we were in the same necromancers guild).

Definitely a Sad moment to see you go for what is likely good, or at least a very long time. I am sad that what RP we had did not manage to grow to a point where it felt rewarding to you, as I did try tooth and nail to do so myself.

I do hope you find somewhere to let out your evil endeavours, and find yourself a happy time in these trials we face IRL nowadays.
