Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hello,
I have a toon with a borked Maltz Quest since the latest update by Valefort (where now to complete it, a PC needs to visit the melphit temple or whatever). DM SummerBreeze attempted to trash my DMFI tool (ring icon) twice, and even wait out a Server Reset, but my Quest Journal is still active (and the only thing I lost was my toon's languages, which I had to choose again).

So, what is the correct process for a Quest Journal reset? If memory serves, there are actual moments when the Server itself gets a kind of update that resets all the quests for all toons...will I need to simply wait out until that moment?

I’m 51% sure I figured this out for myself. If you have borked Quests and need your Quest Journal reset—which is possible only by a DM manually removing the DMFI tool/icon from your PC’s Inventory—you need to MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY QUEST RELATED ITEMS IN THE INVENTORY!!!

Trash any and all Quest Items BEFORE you ask a DM to remove the DMFI tool/Item. Then you’ll need to relog, possible need to wait out a Server reset (but not 100% sure on the latter).

Anyway...best advice is just don’t go getting your Journal borked!!
