Hello everybody,

I have good news and bad news.
I would like your help in thanking both Dialectic and Chant. One, for stepping up and accepting the role of HDM, and the other, for all the time dedicated to that very role, but unfortunately stepping down.

Chant has been a great HDM, but real life does, as real life does, and unfortunately she can't dedicate the time required to that role anymore. I'm very sorry to see her go, but wish her all the best in the future, and am grateful for all the time and effort she put into the role and the community!

To fill the void that she'll leave, Dialectic has agreed to (temporarily) step up to the role of HDM. Dialectic already has the experience in the role and knows what is expected of him. I'm very happy to welcome him back as HDM.

There will be a short period in which both will be active as HDM, in order to hand over work. Chant will announce her retirement personally when the time is right.

Please give them both all your love and appreciation for all the time and effort they have put into the community!

Thank you both, for large and essential commitments to the server. Hope this another interesting time for both.

Thanks for all your efforts, Chant. I know you took on a lot of the thankless jobs, as mentioned, such as organizing requests and chasing them down to get them answered for players. That takes a surprising amount of time and energy, and we were lucky to have someone doing it for as long as we did!

We have new people stepping into that role, it looks like, so that is good for the players and health of the server. It's always surprising to me how many player requests the DMs see in a day. It's an indication of engaged players and a vibrant server with lots of planning, goal making, and plotting, but it is a heavy workload!

You'll be missed for sure, Chant. You were always a great friend and fun person to talk to, as well as a reliable volunteer worker and fair DM.

Dialectic, welcome back to the hot seat. I'm sure you'll excel at it, having had multiple runs in the past at these senior positions with campaign and staff management positions. Good luck, though! I know it's not easy, even with experience! But you'll do great.

Chant, no! Real life does come first though, so thank you for the fun times (I believe you were the DM who did Miirszyx's plotline and got to see some good character drama from that).

Welcome back, Dialectic! Thank you for stepping up.

Thank you all for the many kind words. They're very appreciated. I have nothing but best wishes for BG in its future, and I know I'm leaving things in good hands with Boo and Dialectic.

HDM Chant, thank you for your service to the BGTSCC community over the years. It has been an honor to work with you. You have done so much for our server and players and staff and were an amazing HDM and DM in general. Wishing you well IRL given the chaos of the times and I hope you can return someday.

Both are amazing in their own ways. I welcome one, and am sad that the other is leaving. I wish all the best to you both !
