Dropped Items in Nexus still Unretrievable

Hello!
Has the update to this issue not gone live yet?
Again yesterday, I found myself with a PC with full inventory that dropped all equipped gear, and AGAIN without the honorable help of another Player, I would have bee SOL and unable to pick up my own PC’s stuff.

Look, funny guy, after the last time and the massive embarrassed feeling I carried around, I’ve been uber attentive to my PCs inventories. I swear! I have no idea how it happened, especially since it was on a PC I had not played in some weeks.
But simply, the drop-no-pickup didn’t used to be a problem! And when I F’d up like this in the past, I could quickly gather my loots and go run and hide in a corner.
It just sucks, whatever is causing it, and I’m really just making a point of it and a request of it in order that other players don’t have to experience it.
As for Marie Kondo...I guess it’s time for me to purchase a pack horse...and guess what name I’m gonna use?!?

Can confirm this is still an issue. While I was in the Nexus a few days ago I attempted to equip an item on my char and accidently selected drop. I couldn't figure out how to retrieve it from the ground, I relogged on another char and still nothing. It wasn't an essential item so I just left it there, but fortunately a kind PC returned the item to me in game after picking it up later (my char has a tendency of placing her name on select items). I leaned later there's a way to retrieve dropped items in the Nexus that apparently involves positioning your camera at some ridiculous angle.

Retrieving items is pretty easy. Here is how you do it.
Pivot your camera so you're looking along the ground (as though you are crouched very very low). The loot bags pop up above the horizon and you can click them.

In case anyone still struggles with this, what Xorena said except you have to do it in explore camera mode (the one that looks like a telescope, bottom right of your quickbar). It will not work in character mode (the one where the camera is always just behind your char).
