Hi,
Are there a general dc cap on spells?
Reason I ask is that my illusionist build seems to have a dc cap at 26 for "Phantasmal killer".
He has 17 caster levels. Spell focus illusion, greater spell focus illusion & 10 levels of shadow adept.
DC for Phantasmal killer and the empowered version has not been bumped DC wise for a few levels now.

Re: Spell DC cap
Well, let's see, 26 - 10 base, 4 spell level for Phantasmal Killer, 2 (Greater) Spell Focus, 2 Shadow Weave User, guessing 1 Spellcaster Prodigy. This leaves 7 for INT modifier (and/or gnome Illusion Affinity), which is readily attainable by a mid-teen level character (not sure if you meant his 17 caster level to include the Shadow Adept's Spellpower bonus or not). Seems to check out.
You only get a bonus to DCs based on caster levels past CL 20, at a rate of 1 per 3 levels (so +1 at CL 23, +2 CL 26, etc.). So at character level 20, assuming only the +3 CL from Shadow Adept bonus, you would see your first increase for hitting CL 23. If your build also includes Archmage's Spellpower, you may see this rise sooner. The other DC increases would come from increasing your INT score and getting Epic Spell Focus.
Empower Spell would only increase the 3d6 damage, not the the spell DC, as the spell level isn't changed despite it using a higher spell level slot.
