Probably a simple question: Is Practiced Spellcaster for Sorc needed if I go with Sorc/Eld Knight/Arcane Scholar only?

Eldritch knight does not give progression at lvl 1 so taking practiced spellcaster would increase your spell caster level (CL) from 29 to 30.

To extrapolate a bit further, at CL 30 your buffs will become immune to dispelling via Greater Dispel Magic (though this is a reduction in chance from 5% per buff for CL 29). I could see arguments for both sides if this is a worthwhile application in the use of a feat.

Has this feat been fixed on the server, so it doesn't increase CL beyond 30?

If not, then it is worth considering that the feat will also grant +1 DC due to Epic Caster Levels from reaching CL 32 (or higher).

It has been fixed. Only way to surpass 30 cl now is through Archmage, blood magus and similar classes.

Someone might want to update the wiki to reflect that..... The page about Red Wizard says that a 17th level Red Wizard with Practiced Spellcaster would have a caster level of 26 (+5 red wiz, +4 practiced caster)

I really hope this isn't true or I'm gonna have to rebuild my Wizard to get that free +4 caster level 😆
