Orcus - The Demon Prince of the Undead

Unread post by sweetlikesplenda »

The Knight sat heavily in the chair of his office.

The weeks were blending together. Constant attacks through the portals had sapped the energies of many on the Coast. An enemy he could see and know was one thing, but the scrying had him concerned. Possible futures, fragments of past events. Aaron had seen many scryings over the years. But, one weighed on his mind. Seeing the whole of the Coast on fire and destroyed by Orcus and his forces. Soubar down to Nashkel was all up in flames. Baldur's Gate was little more then rubble. The morbid moment his own body was distinctly recognizable in the scrying mirror, the feathered helm fluttering in the soft disturbances in the air from the flames, lying atop the torn down gate of the Market District. The thought that he would some day die in the course of serving his duty was not a new concept to him. Seeing himself fallen and the city with him, was a failure he could not consider.

There were still so many questions to answer, to stop this potential future, and one woman seemed to have at least some of them. Pushing himself up from his chair, tucking his helmet under his arm, the Knight made his way out of the Radiant Heart Keep. Carah seemed remiss from speaking with others about what happened in Orcus' realm. But, to stop the destruction of everything, finding Carah and speaking with her was his current goal.
