Thoughts on adding the alternate pnp effects for Bestow Curse and Greater Bestow Curse from pnp as radial options for the spell? -4 to attacks, saves, and skill checks or 50% chance to do nothing every round for Bestow Curse, and -8 to attacks, saves, and skill checks or 75% chance to do nothing every round for Greater Bestow Curse.

For reference, PnP Bestow Curse and PnP Greater Bestow Curse.

Alternatively, bumping Bestow Curse to -6 to a chosen ability score, with radial menu to select which one, and Greater Bestow Curse reducing chosen ability score to 1. Or if one really wanted to go all out, could do that and the others... it would be a total of 8 radial options for all 6 attributes plus the other two debuff options.

I'm in favor for it. Curse spells are not used very often and granted they are mostly Single target spell they have no way of killing anything our righf.

If it were possible to have the three choices of course that would be the coolest. I'd always choose -4 attack/saves option though so I'd be just as happy if it were only that.

Anything that makes "Debuffer/Hexer" style wizards more viable is a plus in my book.

However, consequently I feel that unless bosses are made vulnerable to these spells rather than be given possible blanket immunities - even these buffs will see them be rarely used.

Curses aren't mind-affecting, paralysis or death effects so bosses shouldn't be immune :D But they will be 'practically immune' because the spell allows a saving throw and spell resistance to negate.

EDIT: Though I guess if you memorize 3-4 of it and spam it it'll work eventually, so it would be a good boss debuff for a wizard with some party backup

I guess the -AB/-Save type could be work. However, many are immune to ability drain/damage so if the ability type of curse is implemented, it will remain useless. Just like swashbucklers' lvl 14 feat :/.

Considering that it requires Melee Range, does almost absolutely nothing, and requires a Save. I think the spell should definitely be buffed. Right now you could achieve way more with Enfeeblement Rays, Cloudkill, and Touch of Idiocy.
