Golems

Unread post by Thaelis »

Purely out of academic interest I was wondering does Golem Magic Immunity work like in PnP where spells that bypass SR such as Grease, Melfs Acid Arrow etc still affect them?

I've never been high enough level to bump into a Golem to test it out. I know there are some low level ones in a dungeon under BG city or the graveyard or something like that but I'm not sure if they have true Golem Magic Immunity.

From what I recall of the vanilla golems, those that have Magic Immunity have it represented as "Immunity to Spell by level", which explicitly counts as automatic spell resistance. If a spell doesn't test SR, it should work (unless the golem is immune to the damage type or effect for other reasons).

That said, not all vanilla golems have Magic Immunity, even by P&P.
