For my part, I just want to say thanks to Dae for not only setting this up for us, but for doing it so quickly and for providing easy instructions on the functionality. Thanks, man!

Steve wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 6:42 am This is really great! Especially since it relieves players from RCRing to benefit from newer, better aesthetic additions.

But I have a question: shouldn’t Head and Makeover be limited to a one-time use?

Because I immediately go to thinking to use this OOC feature to role up the best Disguise based PC on the Sword Coast. Weekly changing the “makeover,” and using Renaming IC, even with screenshots, it would be impossible for others to “beat” the disguise.

Thoughts?

re: "Invincible Disguise Character"

I really don't think it's going to be an issue. If someone was dedicated enough to go out of their way to do that, they already could with the RCR tool despite the potential xp loss. Any system you give a player, even the input box to type your name at creation, can be abused. If you see obvious abuses feel free to report it to the DM Team.

re: "Can you delete the makeover character once the details are changed?"

Yeah, go ahead and delete it. Once you've done the makeover on your PC you no longer need to keep the makeover character around.

RE: Invincible Disguised Character.

I guess it would be good to know specifically that it would be seen as abuse. If there is no limit to a Makeover use established, than actually using it can technically be seen as “fair game.”

Being able to change faces for new content without suffering XP loss from the RCR is a boon. But just as it has IG consequence when a known Character now looks different, for me at least, I see it also being quickly taken too far.

If it’s a “wait and see how bad” thing, I’m cool with that. Cheers.

This is really awesome. I was finally able to change my Red Wizard's head to something with a much more visible tattoo. Thank you!
