Exactly as it says in the title. Every chest has turned into mimics who are much higher level than normal.

Please consider baning the culprit

In general, mimics tend to be way higher of a threat than the area they spawn into. Considering that the vast majority of chests has like 30 gold in it you start thinking if it's even worth the risk.

And yes, right now there are mimics all over the place.

There are ways to deal with this

Yeah, a group of friends and I were in Hilltop with level 3-6 characters, and had to fight several mimics a few weeks back. We honestly just ran from them as there was no way we could even hit them, and in the rare occasion that we crit, the mimic stripped our weapon off, lol.

To that note, why don't mimics drop loot? I've never seen any mimic I've actually killed drop anything. Seems pretty anti-climactic to go through the effort of murdering one then getting nothing.

A mimic maybe 5% of the time i could understand but honestly this isnt even immersive its just annoying and it can cost people hard earned XP and time

Real gold in chests has been replaced by comedic gold.
