Upcoming Media Updates

Hello everyone,
First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone for their kind words in my previous about stepping down from media team. I feel some may have seen this as myself stepping away from the game, however, it more or less just halting my activity on creating content. I hope things get better in the server and the motivation comes back but this thread is not about that. I will address openly some of the content coming in the next update because the download size will be quite hefty.
First, know that just from Media Team, the download will be over 3gb alone. This does NOT mean that you are getting 3gb of content. A majority of this is re downloading content you already have as we felt the need to reorganize the haks for a better workflow. Of course, I would not just have you redownload 3gb just to move a few files around. This reorganization was actually an optimization as well. I've personally went through and reworked EVERY single outfit in the BG by BG category to add better shaders and materials. Certain outfits will not have a a better shine and more realistic look to them. Some odd clippings were fixed and tint maps were made for nearly every outfit.
This was a huge undertaking but I felt it was necessary. There is no guides on how to create content for this game and its limitations so the earlier models lacked techniques that the later content use. Now, at least, the older outfits can be revisited.
Since this was a reorganization, some outfits were moved around. Most are in the same place but you find yourself with a different outfit upon login. All you have to do is simply go through the app changer and find your previous outfit - it will be in there somewhere. Very few outfits were removed and those that are longer available are likely the ones many never used due to weird anatomical reasons. I decided to put new outfits in their stead.
Now a quick self Q&A:
3gb is certainly a lot JUST for outfits, anything else to be expected? Yes. Along with the redownload of these haks. I have added (and just quicklisting from the SVN):
- Reworked 240 outfits in the BG by BG category (Both Male and Female) (as mentioned)
- New monster / NPC models for Dms' to haunt you with
- 47 New Dagger models
- 51 New Tower Shields (as requested by players)
- 5 new Heavy and Light Crossbow models (created by LivT)(as requested by players)
- 40 New Greatsword and Bastard Sword models
- 20 New Longsword and Shortsword models
- 10 New Dagger Models
- 47 Kukri models (copied over from dagger types)
- 20+ New Warhammer Models
- 8 New Warmace models
- 12 New Rapier (fantasy) models ((not for the rapier enthusiast, sorry))
- Fixed the Dagger models that were facing the wrong direction
- Added blank/empty Part B and Part C slots for most weapons now
- Added MP helmets to show for the following races (Sun, Moon, Wild, Wood, Evil Elf) ((special thanks to Oarthias)) ((30 helms per these subraces))
- Added 17 new cloaks to human/elf/tiefling/Aasimar ((male and female)) races ((pretty much races that can use the human skeleton))
- Added 8 new dwarf plate armors under BG by BG category for DWARF
- Added/converted over 3 MP cloak scarves for Dwarf male to the BG by BG category
- Fixed the recent MP skin tints to better match heads ((thanks to FallingStar for this request))
- Added 15 new outfits as advertised by Sew-Stunning Designs ((male dress-up outfits))
- Added 43 new Female outfits by athornforyourheart & LivT to include those advertised by Sew-Stunning in the previous threads.
- Added 17 new Male outfits to BG by BG Category ((most have tints minus three plate armors atm))
- Fixed Eye glitch issue with the newer human female models ((19 faces so far))
- Added 2 more outfits and three masks as last minute requested by players.
- Added 10 new female outfits by LivT
- Added 2 new male outfits by LivT
- Added 9 new dance animations for models using the HHF (human female) skel. These are activated ((special thanks to Dae))
- Added 10 amulets for Females and 8 amulets for males as cloaks for Bg by Bg Category ((These can help bridge gaps on some neck seams))
ADDED on 5/15/2021
- FIXED dwarven Male Face eyes ((set to not blinking)) No more popped eyes.
- FIXED dwarven Female Faces with neck clipping/weighting issues
- Added 9 new male outfits to BG by BG by LivT
- Added 18 new helmets for HHM/HHF types

IMPORTANT NOTE: No content creator has yet figured out how to make cloaks animate properly with custom animations. This has to do with using rigid body constraints in a 3d application ((advanced methods)). most will experience odd animations when using these commands with a cloak equipped. There is NO current way around this at this time. My options were to just never release these animations or just go with it and expect some wierd cloak clippings. I decided the latter. >a at your own will.
....and I think that's all...? Among these were some texture fixes and things like that but usually those are not really the spicy things I think people care much about. This all reflects into the huge update.
What about future content? I had requested something in the recent past, will that be dropped? No. I will commit to finishing all open projects because I'd hate to leave you with broken promises. So anyone that had things approved in the back end, I will continue to work on them and insert them. I imagine by the next update ((if not too recent)) most of these commitments will be complete. I ask for your patience in this matter. If you feel I might have skipped a request, feel free to PM me. NO, THIS IS NOT A TIME TO SUBMIT NEW REQUESTS please.
**the BIG eye glitch issue will remain for elves, tielfings, halflings female models but that is now the focus ((and am looking to have that fixed by the 100% RcR period begins))
Who will take over Media Team? LivT will resume operations in the Media Fort. My worst fear is that she will reach burnout so please, as Ive stated in my previous thread, be patient as she is still learning 3d modelling.
