Shifter is locked for testing!

The Shifter class is currently locked for QC testing and is unavailable for player selection!
The IG class description doesn't mention it, and there was no announcement after the split. It is a staff-side oversight. The exact release date is unknown, there will be new notifications if it changes. There were some players who created Shifter characters and then were unable to level them as planned after a certain point, I understand frustration coming out of it, but there's nothing that can be done until Shifter is released. We will try to be more mindful in the future!

Curious looking at the build myself, is it meant to work in conjunction with Dragon Shape builds or something else entirely? Seeing how their shifting ability doesn't stack with wildshape for pre req purposes I assumed it was intentional. Tooling around with some druid builds myself so curiosity is peaked.

Shifter is being designed as separate PrC focused on her own shifting abilities. While it can take some of druid shapes in deep investment (subject to possible change
), it offers its own shapes and their mechanics that we liked a lot while testing. Keep in mind that in-game description may differ from real implementation quite a lot. Basically, while testing, we don't even look in there
