Cavalier
I feel this Class was inspired by the Original BG2 kit of the same name, and I must say, I'm tempted, BUT:
-It should be able to Cast Lesser Dispell, then Dispell, Then greater, and Mordes...
It would make the class much more similar to the original AND give it some pvp ability, cos right now, I really feel Spell casters and UDM are the way to go on pvp...

Re: Cavalier
I mean, if I got it right, only Mages can dispell lv 30 charachters with mordes. Am I right? If so, that should change. A well built level 30 cleric can pretty much destroy an entire fighter team of lv 30s. UMD and its spells and potions lv 30 and there isnt much the fighter's can do.

Re: Cavalier
That doesn't justify a Paladin getting a full mords spell as a feat though.
If that was the case then you would see people start playing cavaliers over Dissonant cords. And the mords feat is a dissonant cord exclusive to begin with.

Re: Cavalier
We should not balance for PvP.
How would a paladin that focuses on hunting down specific monsters (favored enemy) and smiting them have access to 9th level spells? Not even the abjuration specialist class, Olin Gisir, gives its user a Mord outside of their base spellbook.

Re: Cavalier
Than you see my point. There should be at least one more option over mage and DCord. PPL would still go Dcord for the spells and buffs. Cavaliers cast no spells, remove their lay on hands and remove disease and you have a ballanced comparisson to Dcord, no?
Then again, I'm just suggesting. It's way too easy to dispell everything on this server that is not lv 30 as it is, so maybe I am tripping indeed.

Re: Cavalier
Same problem, crusaders can't cast spells. No way their casting mords.
Also the problem with nerfing and buffing for PVP is that it's an endless loop of finding things that are top tier in the PVP ladder and endlessly nerfing the top classes and abilities that are on the top until everything is basically striped out of the game and we are back to playing lvl 10 max, base classes only.

Re: Cavalier
They cast remove disease as SLA so that's not really a reason. Then someone would say ''it's a priest spell, makes more sense'' Ok, then give them dispell series at least as it can be a priest spell as well.crusaders can't cast spells

The why: This is not an arena PVP server.Halian wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 3:00 pmWhat??? Why???We should not balance for PvP.

While I dislike the class system of dnd and would prefer some sort of ability/experience buy system, as it stands right now: Crusaders have no spellbook, no spellcasting training.
Crusaders are paladins who hear the call to fight evil every waking hour. Parangons of virtue and martial prowess alike the Crusaders hone their fighting techniques with their weapon of choice to simultaneously attack and defend with deadly efficiency. However their restless nature does not allow them the peace of mind necessary to cast spells.

Re: Cavalier
Cavalier is an outstanding class for PvE. The only criticism I have for the entire Paladin series is the lack of Spell Resistance, which the Crusader class attempts to address with Divine Shroud. What are the odds of making Divine Shroud available as a feat available to the Paladin series while remaining a free feat for the Crusader class?
