Hideous Blow need CHA?

Unread post by LevelSix_SYSTEM »

Think I've finally settled on what I what to do with my 'craft'Lock, trying to balance crafting skills while still having enough power to survive/fight, and I've settled on using Hideous Blow invocation but testing it out it would seem it only does a single point of dmg?
I thought it did the same amount as your Eldritch Blast dice?

I don't need Charisma for Hideous Blow dmg do I, not planning on taking any of the invocations that require a DC/save...
But not sure if dumping CHA reduced my '1d6 EB' down to a single point of dmg?

On a side note, as far as RPing, I plan on making my backstory that I was of dragon heritage but 'sacrificed' to the Old Ones in a 'marketing scheme'
If anyone is familiar with Welch from the Star Ocean series going for that sort of vibe, the whole omnipresent(but not really) scatterbrained crafter that's temporally 'locked' & working for 'YeOldOnes'
Want to make sure setting my 'age' as more of a lifespan entral... I mean working 'part time' for over 1928 years isn't a problem?
(1928 ref. to release of the novel for Cthulhu mythos)

Hi there.
Most of you questions are already answered in server wiki:

In more details, you cast hideous blow and it starts working as once/round damage bonus. Though, you always receive +1 positive damage to ensure you apply it even if your regular attack is not meant to deal damage due to DR.

Does it just not show the added damage from the actual EB then?
Looking at my character stat window and the only thing that gets added when I have it toggled on is the +1 positive damage
It doesn't show the 1d6 damage die anywhere?
Not sure if it showed in combat log either I'll have to check again

The blast damage will get applied when you actually hit someone as a separate "attack" which lands when you hit enemy first time in the round, it's not shown in the sheet since it's once/round damage, not every hit damage.
