Apologies for scavenging campfires

I thought that it was a good idea to hide in obscure cubbyholes to transfer items to alts via campfires because I was under the impression campfires were the same as trash bins, allowing other players to scavenge any 'fodder' inside
Thought I had come across abandoned loot twice now right before server reset, didn't realize campfires are not so much portable trash dumps but a sacred trust of sorts & seems players tend to transfer to alts close to server reset with them, so I apologize for that
& I'll make sure to stick to the actual trash bins from now on

Do not use trash bins for muling your items.
In most cases it eats the items as soon as you close the window.

hehe yeah found that out the hard way, thankfully didn't lose anything important when I tried to use the bin to do so
Think it deleted what I put in the bin when I logged off with character

Most trash-bins delete their contents as soon as the container is closed, and the contents will be gone when you re-open it.
The trash-bin next to Blunt is one of the rare exceptions, but is also highly ill-advised for muling for obvious reasons.
A campfire is functional as a loot-disposal, because you can remove it (using the tools available in the Misc-tab of the PC-tools menu).
But also, anyone using a campfire for muling has implicitly accepted the risks.
If you want to mule more securely, it is advised that you find another player to which you can entrust your items while you swap or RCR your characters.

Ahhhh ok thanks for clarifying bin by Blunt is special, I always seen loot in that one so I assumed all the bins worked that way
Been running round trying to find as many bins as I could but they never had anything, now I know why
