Melee weapon mastery feat?

Hello Everyone,
I have a warrior character and he is focused on the scythe. I'm considering getting the melee weapon mastery feat instead of the “epic prowess” feat, but the scythe has two types of damage. Do i need to get the melee weapon mastery feat for both(slashing and piercing)?

Hi there. Upon test, having both mastery feats, only slashing bonus is applied. Thus, for scythe, it's pointless to take piercing weapon mastery since it doesn't work for it even though it is said to have extra damage type Piercing.

If you don't aim for feats opened by epic prowess, then yes, slashing one is your good choice for +2 AB and +2 dmg.

epic prowess is only +1 AB but its a prereq for some other feats, just depends on what you are trying to do

actually, among the feats I chose, there is no feat that requires epic prowess, but I recalculated I can get epic prowess as well.

It would make certain weapons extremely potent if both mysteries applied.
However, it would make sense with the flails and morningstars for sure

I have a scythe and its additional feature is “extra damage type: bludgeoning”. Now does this weapon really include all 3 damage types and does it really do equivalent damage?
By the way, this is not an assumption. I actually have this scythe.

The easiest test would be going to hunt some DR mobs and checking if you actually overcome it. Say, hit skeleton to see if you overcome dr/bludgeoning etc.
