				Question about Armor Class

				Happy Saturday!
I have a question concerning Armor Class and find it may be related to the glitch with monk AC.
I have a fighter/Whirling Dervish/Thief Acrobat level 25. He can get his AC up to 57 with combat expertise, agile fighting, Athkatlan Tripartite, and Improved Mage Armor wand. I am fighting in the Troll cave and whether I am fighting one or many, I seem to be hit way more than one should with a 57 AC. Am I wrong or is there a glitch with one or more of the abilities my character has? Oh, and he is a Hin.
On many occasions, I will be hit three times in one encounter, from just one Troll. When you look at the logs, they should only be able to hit me with a critical hit. Those bastards seem to get way too many critical hits.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
TPK.

For additional context... I accompanied TPK's character at the trolls. My toon is an ECL +1, 4 Fighter/ 20 Paladin (Cavalier). My toon had a 47 AC and held agro using shield charge/slam. TPK mentioned his 55AC... which I found non sequitur to what I experienced running the caves with him, namely - 1) I served as the tank and held agro, and 2) his damage deficit was a consistent -100 hp throughout the campaign in spite of holding better tactical ground compared to mine.
Cheers!

Sounds like you guys are suffering from NWN2. Basically the game is rigged. The mobs roll 20's rather often. Even more so if you have too high ac for them to hit otherwise.
If i recall it was stated that its hardcoded so *shrug*

None of the classes you mentioned give Uncanny dodge, meaning Dodge and Dex AC, which makes a solid bulk of this build's AC, would be ignored when your character is not considered engaged with some of the attacking monsters. When some troll runs up and smacks from behind, for example, or else.

Monsters do roll 20s too often and it is very noticeable if you are fighting groups of mobs since they all roll dice they will get more 20s easily than if you are fighting just one or two. And yes uncannu dodge matters a lot since you lost a lot of AC when you are attacked and aren't engaged in combat (would count as flat footed)

And when you have high AC and monsters have greater attack range than your character -- even if you have Supreme Cleave -- your character can actually fall momentarily out of combat in the middle of combat. Your character just stands there, as monsters wave their arms around, and thus you can be caught 'flat-footed' multiple times in a single combat encounter. Thus what I would recommend is binding "Target Next Enemy" to "Tab" key on your keyboard, and "Perform Default Action" to "Q" key on your keyboard. Thus you can rest a finger on both Tab and Q, and just attack the next target when the first one goes down. It will require you to pay attention to gameplay, but nothing much else can be done about this game mechanic...
