there is a script that triggers if you have more than one con item to counter a hp stacking exploit, it shouldnt do a lot of damage tho and generally people would only die from it if they are already low hp and equip a second item, like barb coming out of frenzy after a fight being low after losing con buff from rage was a common issue back in the day, or druids with wildshape, it triggers every time you return to normal

the only real solution for it has always been to never wear more than one con item

if you jumped servers im guessing you were full hp? and it killed you outright?

I've found that DMs are more than happy to remove Con from an item of your choice, due to these kinds of bugs and whatnot. I recently asked for such to be done for me since I kept getting a warning that I was triggering the script

Funny thing: I have a PC that was wearing 3 items with CON bonuses, and nothing was happening to them!!!

My character was low on HP after my first few attempts at server transition failed and teleported me back to the middle of the fields of dead.

It usually only deals 20 damage (guessing character level) in positive damage when equipping these items but I'm sure I had more HP left than that.

We can indeed remove con from items, if you have two or more that gives such a bonus. Your preference. Just ask us ingame.

Wearing just one +1 Constitution enchantment on my items killed my character while trying to change armor appearance.

Edit: The constitution modifier keeps damaging my character. Every time appearance gets adjusted. When I close the appearance changing kit, I get the lost HP back, and then... Boom, back to however low it was.

Ask DM to remove that +1 CON. It'll solve the problem for this instance. Hope that helps you.
