'Abarundahar'

==============
First Name: 'Abarundahar'
Middle Name: -
Last Name: -

Appearance:
Introducing himself as Abarundahar, he is a man of few more than 18 winters. Young, but weathered, his eyes appear darkened by a tragedy he speaks little about.

Slightly shorter than average, with fairish skin, brown hair, and green eyes - Abarundahar is cut of ocal Chondathan stock. Not frail, but not built for strenuous labor, there is something particularly average about the man that isn't likely to draw attention in most circles. He wears a wispy beard, barely that, but seems proud of it.

Wearing clothes sewn for common-folk, carrying a carved sapling as a staff, he owns little else.

Race: Human, Chondathan
Age: 18
Height 5' 7"
Weight: Average
Eyes: Green
Hair: Light Brown
Facial Hair Style: Scruffy beard

Personality Profile:
Abarundahar is overall quiet and shy, and tries his best to observe, absorb, and document.. but once he feels comfortable he often finds himself nearing annoyance with questions on why and how things work, especially things of a magical nature.

Inside, his mind is ablaze with lists, tasks, projects happening now and in the future.

Extremely motivated to fully understand magic as 'The Art', Abarundahar has sought out a teacher he believes will unlock all of it's waiting mysteries.

General Health: Average.
Deity: Chauntea, but only by default. He offers prayers to many gods, and is likely yet to find his real patron..
Profession: Commoner, aspiring wizard.
Habits/Hobbies: Reading, writing, and observing people. He enjoys fishing and hunting as it reminds him of his late father, but doesn't do either often.
Languages: A quick study, in time Abarundahar picks up quickly on both written and spoken word. He has learned a few necessary for reading, and has been exposed to several others in passing as a resident of Baldur's Gate.
Weapon of Choice: Escape, for now.

Background Overview:

WIP

Born in Tymount, was fifteen when his father (a trapper) died* while away from the village (trolls raids early on). As hostilities escalated, evacuated, saw the Radiant Heart in action, spent time in the refugee camp, lost family and friends to secondary attack. Was one of many that settled in the Gate, having spent the last three years working odd jobs for scribes, bookbinders, and the like. Has experienced magic as destroyer and as savior, and is highly motivated to master the craft.

Will be extrapolating and fleshing that out but covid-head has my creativity depleted.

One of his very few possessions, the old book appears to have traveled with him for some time. The cover is simple, adorned with a single "A" and several nondescript stains. The insides are filled with fresh parchment, as if recently rebinded.

Within his room at the Blade and Stars, Abarundahar sat in quiet contemplation, staring into the warmly lit corner. He'd met his fellow students earlier in the day - Dartryn and Mia'lyreth - and he now replayed every mispoken word, every stutter, and every odd look he felt pierce him over and over again. Self-doubt bubbled just beneath where anxiety perched, and he cursed himself for his first impression. He'd worked hard to find the road that he is only now just starting to travel. He needed to pull it together. He had to succeed in this.
