When comparing the 2 PrCs, is the only real plus to Warpriest over Hospitaler that Warpriest progresses Turn Undead? And otherwise, Hospitaler offers much more?

Does anyone even use Warpriest? What kinda build did you choose?

The main use for Warpriest is assuring your cleric build can attain the 6 attacks per round from BAB. I typically utilize Warpriest with cleric shapeshifting builds IE: Spidershape from Drow or Spider domain / Angelic form from Solar Channeler.

That sort of that.

A general build for my shapeshifting clerics are: Cleric 5, Hospitaliter 10, Warpriest 5, Solar Channeler 10 / Cleric 5, Hospitaliter 10, Warpriest 10, Dragon Slayer 5

Interesting!

I'd think that Dragon Slayer would always beat out Warpriest, since it gets Tumble, better Saves, other perks, etc. (but not the Turn Undead).

I could totally see a Cleric 5, Dragonslayer 10, Hospitaler 5, Solar Channeler 10. But only 24 CL w/ Practiced. Which is why many would choose Cleric 5, Dragonslayer 10, Hierophant 5, Solar Channeler 10 for CL 29, but only 5 apr.

Well its mainly to add BAB if your playing a shifter cleric without solar channeler then you would probably have both WP and DS in the same build anyway. Then just pump in hospitaliter in the epics for added WIS or before the epics for any combat abilities your missing.

Warpriest also gives Spot which Hospitaler doesn’t. This was one way to make your cleric a spotter. Though, less important now with cosmo feats.

Warpriest War Glory aura also gives allies within 10ft +1 AB and enemies within the same radius -1 saves, which can be useful if you're going the route of DCs.

Hospitaler bonus feats at levels 5 & 9 can be epic feats (e.g. Epic Wisdom), so this potentially creates more Epic Feat utility.

You can get 6 attacks with any combination. This build get 30 caster levels. Originally, it could get shield bash too, but now shield bash been nerfed that only fighters and rangers can use it unless you invest unnecessary amounts of dexterity to get the second and third attack. This was done on purpose, but shield bash is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT discussion.

Overall from an expert builder point of view, warpriest is crap with only one useful skill. Everything else about the class is horrible. So unless it makes the cleric a better warrior or support, its crap.

Warpriest in this server and Dalelands is bad. Warpriest in Kingdom of Haven is good. Mainly, because Warpriest only has a 8/10 spell progression, high bab, and feats allowing it be better support like mass raise dead, mass heal, turn undead progression, +1 to +3 battle aura, and one of three abilities to choose from at level 10. It's bad because of the unnecessary 5/10 spellprogression or 6/10 SP here. It also doesn't get tumble or listen. It just gets spot. You can only get martial proficiency or exotic proficiency from other classes with more useful abilities or from domains.
