Loading Screen Crashes

Hi all,
Recently I have been experiencing an increasing number of crashes on the loading screen. The amount of these happening is increased constantly to a point now that I pretty much crash each time in loading. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything, game and bgtscc files and nothing changed. I have a modern gaming notebook.
I suspect it may be related to the character I am playing, which is a wizard/asoc/thaumaturge/archmage. For example, right now he is constantly crashing, I can not even enter the game. He had shaping mastery on time, I wondered if that could be related. I was wondering if any know issues with any abilities of these classes. My other chars seem to be fine so far, I didn't crash with them. Did anyone experience anything similar before? Thanks

Are you using the nwn2 client extension?

I remember myself having troubles with crashes on an ASOC (something with the improved metamagics) years ago. I don't know if that has been fixed or not locally on our server, but the client extension fixes a lot of crashing issues and other bugs.

Maybe this helps (quoted from fandom wiki for NWN2):

Corrupted Hotbar – Turn off your hotbars in options- interface and uncheck all 4 ( Arcane Scholars do this a lot ) If crashing stops, ask your dm to delete the hotbar nodes from your character file, play without hotbars, or create a new character.
Crashing while logging in
Corrupted character files – Try a different character to test, or create one. Inspect file to see if it is extremely large (DM or other means). Check and see if entire server crashed if you isolate to a single character, and if so contact a DM.

You can disable hotbars BEFORE you log in under Options.

Thanks for your messages. I have tried the client extension, and it seems to stop the crashes so far. Let me test for a bit longer and will write here again.
