Power attack and the whip?

hello,

i recently chose the power attack feat for use with my weapon( a whip).
i can see the -3 takes effect on all my attacks, but the +3 damage is not added...

does power attack not work with whips?

Hello there. Power attack doesn't provide any bonuses to light weapons:
