WhisperLock not working properly

As the title says.

This has happened several times now, and not just for me, but also for others I RP with, so it's not a fluke.

Enabling WhisperLock from the "chat toolbar" used to convert any regular message into a whisper and that was it.
Now, however, it also sends the written message on top of turning it into a whisper. Thus completely negating the purpose of the whisper, since everyone outside the whisper range can see it.

When having a hushed conversation it is a quite handy tool to have since it allows the chat bubbles to still show, thus indicating activity and presence, while keeping messages "private" to those in whisper range. When using regular whispers (/w) there are no chat bubbles present.

Searching for Whisper Lock and WhisperLock here on the forums doesn't provide any insight into when it was changed, or even why.
But someone made the change.

I'd at the very least like to know why.
Preferably also have the change reverted, since it removed a nice quality of life feature for hushed conversations.

This might have broke when they fixed it so whispering in different languages now works correctly. Dalo Lorn might be the one that knows what might have happened.

If we can't have both.. I'd rather keep the whispering in different languages! btw I loved that this was fixed. :)

Wasn't as hard to track down as I feared. I used an if when I should have used an else-if, while implementing the ventriloquism/RPXP upgrades.

On another note, maybe we should show the chat bubbles for regular whispers, too? That feels like a silly reason to use whisper lock.

I agree, it would turn whispers into actual whispers and not close range telepathy.

Steal the system from Haven. There, whisper generates gray dots instead of white, but they're only displayed to the characters in whisper range.

Either of these would be welcome additions to WhisperLock functioning as before (no sense removing features!). Though the latter is a very interesting one.

This issue has been fixed with the latest update. Can a moderator or admin please move it to the fixed part of the forums? Thank you.
