Booted at login

Hello hello!

I got this game from GOG today since the old DVDs don't really work anymore. And, of course, a new Key. I assume that is what keeps me booted after reading through some other posts with that same problem.
Would you be so kind and help me out? Anyone?

same here. i got a gog.com nwn 2 now. i came back within the last week, and just now, the server started booting me at login

sending now. also, would like to mention that it is happening when client crashes while in transition between servers. when i log back in and load the server boots me

If this is the case then it's not something I can fix. If you were able to get onto the server and play aside from the cross-server transition bug then it's not a cd-key-related issue, which is the only thing I can fix. We have been investigating the transition issue but don't have a solution just yet.

one solution is server reboot. seems to clear it from memory. this has happened to me two days in a row. just happened again. have to wait 8-9hrs before i can play again :/

:edit: update. can log in now. did you do something with the cd key/account name? if so, the cd keys may be linked to the booted after crash bug after all

Nope.

hmm. so sometimes on server transition crashes accounts get some kind of errant temp-flag and get auto-booted on log in. the auto-boot lasted 5-10mins before disappearing

as for the server to server transition crashes themselves, they happen a bit using transitions, but seem to be more frequent when using caravans/teleport scrolls
