it is the only true upperdark town/city, which is important from a rp perspective. it is/was a gathering place for deep gnomes, duergar, and any other of the down below that does not call sshamath home

i have a duergar that lives there. now it is a ghost town, and his storage is not accessible

ty for your consideration, and please dont leave the upperdark without its only real settlement

The campaign seems to have slowed down but will be concluded, as the HDM is still on the team, but is running several plots. Rockrun being a ghost town is temporary, not permanent. So far the Duergar faction lost due to no support and too many enemies. I would recommend backing the half dragon and his followers for the closest thing to former Rockrun. I would personally not trust the mind flayers with that, though I am biased. As for your personal storage, you should ask the team about it in PMs.

If you have stuff in that storage, DMs can very much spawn the NPC for you to grab it!

But regarding the actual plot, it kind of needs players to move forward. Surface dwarves knocked out the duergar, but it mostly stalled because it's a very player driven plot, and not many are trying to get involved in it. If you have interest in being part of the plot (and this is for anyone reading this), do not hesitate to pm HDM Ghost about it.

If no one gets involved, who knows, mindflayers might win

Stalled plots aside, the changes to Rockrun also had the unintended(?) effect of removing at least 3 or 4 UD quests, which puts a dent in a players weekly quest XP (unless the quests were moved elsewhere, which I don't think is the case). I had been leveling up a svirf for a while, got him up to 24'ish, then Rockrun npc's went bye bye, and I never really knew how to reconcile things IC'ly, as well as the quests vanishing, so I stopped logging him on.

For a segment of the server which frequently suffers from medium to low activity already, not to mention the level of difficulty in leveling up down there, perhaps something might be looked at in terms of helping make up for that wayward XP?

The plot is finished. Moridin (and a little bit me with NPCs) is working on bringing Rockrun into a new era. The intention was to move the quests to the Mist Lake - not sure if that was ever done?

As far as reconciling the IC, there's been RP going on in Rockrun with players recently and then there's rumours posted by myself and players on the forums about the IC situation throughout the now completed plot.

Quest moving was never done, so we were out of quests and Lucky Find shop for whole plot duration :P
Honestly, comparing UD quests vs surface quests, UD quests are already so packed together that i can literally do all of them in under 1 hour. I doubt it's possible in surface.
Anyway, i hope our builders will restore Rockrun to even better state (i saw some screenies, whole map looks way more pleasant now with way less of those ugly stretched textures).

I have good faith Moridin will make it a great area. It will be renamed, though. We just need to settle on a name. The contenders are currently:

Azure Hold
Dark Hope's Bastion
