Practiced Invoker Question

Does this feat work retroactively?

For example if I take the feat before I've got all 4 non-warlock levels, will it apply once I later take those levels or do I need to wait until I've got 4 non-warlock levels before taking the feat?

Practiced Spellcaster (of all it's varieities) will count up to 4 levels of classes that do not grant the chosen spellcasting into your caster level for that type of spellcasting.

The effects of Practiced Spellcaster is always in respect to your current level build, so gaining later levels will be taken into account.
so if you have a warlock 10/wizard 3, with Practiced Invoker, you would be a CL 13 warlock, CL 3 wizard. If you get another wizard level, you would then be CL 14 warlock, CL 4 wizard.

Thanks, I know Practiced Spellcaster works like that, but if I understand correctly warlock eldritch blast damage is basically its own set of progressively better feats. I wasn't sure if I took it prior to having 4 levels of non-progressing class then the blast damage feats would also scale as I leveled up outside of Warlock.

according to the wiki, that is exactly what it does:
https://wiki.bgtscc.net/index.php?title ... ed_Invoker
Your caster level for invocations increases by +4. This can't increase your caster level beyond your HD. For determining eldritch blast damage, you gain +2d6 damage if you are 4 or more caster levels below your hit dice or +1d6 damage if you are 2 or 3 caster levels below your hit dice. For example: A Warlock 11/Blackguard 4 would deal 8d6 damage while a Warlock 11/Blackguard 2 would deal 7d6 damage.
