NPC Bigby's...and Combat Log non-reporting

Hello!

There is something amiss with the NPC versions of Bigby's. IG experience is that: a) there is no Save—or at least there is no reporting of a Save/DC in the Combat Log; b) they are simply overtuned.

I just want to say right off that I enjoy a challenge. What isn't enjoyable is when the challenge is beyond comprehension, or blackboxed, and constant.

Can we talk about this? Is there a better way to implement Bigby's on NPCs? And are there solutions besides just L2P OOC puzzle solving? As in, giving actual chances, both of success and/or failure?

Sad part is that we don't have easy way to actually force mobs using our custom versions of spells.
So mobs do use vanilla bigby with all its pluses and minuses.

But it has been said that the BGTSCC NPC Bigby's is not even making a grappling check!!

I’ve had escape artist successfully free me from crushing hand so some sort of check is being made. At least with that one. Not sure if interposing has any check at all though.

I know the NPC version of bigbys has been discussed in the QC discord a few times but as Easterncheese eluded to, a solution has yet to be found.

From the Wiki on Escape Artist:
Gameplay Notes
Bigby 7-8-9 take the highest of your AC our your escape artist score for the initial check on those spells. So that's d20 + Primary Spell Ability Modifier + Caster level + 12 - 1 ~ 52 +d20 for a CL 30 caster with 11 INT/CHA mod

As for escape artist it's the total score so ranks + DEX mod + bonuses (spell/items), and while they're not common you can buy a bunch of escape artist items at the Avernus shop, going to 60 escape artist is fairly possible.

With complete investment in escape artist bigby are unlikely to work on you. That said it's clear that this is a huge investment for not much, the DCs for escape artist should probably be lower.
Even though the DC is massive, and that to have enough Escape Artist is unlikely, what concerns me is that there is no report in the Combat Log, nor what appears to be Saving again each Round, as it should be.
