Time of Troubles Time Problem re: wands

Why are some divine wands made before the ToT not working? The spells were there when they were put into the wands. Isn't this like having rechargeable batteries you charged last week suddenly being dead because your electric service was cut off yesterday?
Unless divine wands are storing prayers to dieties instead of magic, they should work if they were created before the ToT. If they do store prayers, then a wand made by a Tormite shouldn't work for a Baneite.

I have a death ward wand made before ToT. It still works just sometimes it doesn't. Pretty much with other wands I have of arcane made. I just been very conservative of my spell uses and wands.

There's conflicting sources. Some say that divine spells, even in consumable form, don't work at all. On the other hand, I'm seeing in the Time of Troubles adventure module rules that it seems like consumables only suffer from wild magic complications.
Will reconsider this. Might leave it in for scrolls (as those are spell completion items) but allow potions and wands.

hmm its been a good minute the last time I read The Spider Queen series but if recall, I thought staves and such that were already made where the things people had to rely on and use wisely. More or less folks had to rely on mundane means, staves, wands, trinket's etc. lol I been pack ratting all items for the past month that could cast spells.

This has been reverted. Now only divine scrolls fail to work (this may be adjusted as well).

Yikes raise dead scrolls are worthless now. Tried to raise someone in the game and it failed. Shouldn't the NPC's technically be unable to raise people too?

If you RP them as dead? yes.
Changes have been made to make RPing someone as simply gravely injured more practicable through changes to terminology:
* Damage levels names for characters changed to be a little more realistic. Characters move from Healthy to Winded, Fatigued, and Exhausted, before becoming Injured, Gravely Wounded, Bleeding Out, and Dead or Dying.
* Stabilize now stabilizes characters that are bleeding out and restores characters who have fallen. Characters who are stabilized are knocked down and unable to move or act for two minutes (exact timer subject to change upwards, considering this spell's AOE effect). A character brought back by stabilize is considered to have been close to death, but not actually dead.
* Raise Dead renamed to Revivify and now has a one-round cast time even when cast by a cleric. It otherwise functions as normal. In comparison to stabilize, Revivify restores more HP and has no KD or inability to act, refluffing it as, essentially, a battle rez. Revivify, unlike the very clear implications given by the 'Raise Dead' name, can also be fluffed to support raising people from death or simply stabilizing the only-mostly-dead.
Assuming someone is "Only mostly dead", NPC clerics would likely (attempt to) cast Stabilize, or simply offer proper medical aid to an unconscious patient.

Of course, you could haul the corpse off to Nashkel if they're dead-dead. Happened to Nelee just yesterday.
