Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I know the shield bash feat used to work with the Bashing Tower Shield but now it doesn't. Was this meant to be broken? If so can the shield get removed from the store so people don't get duped?

I had heard though have yet to test myself, is that it should then give you improved shield bashing?

It works but the player needs to move the feat icon from the character sheet to the quickbar.

It used to work, now the shield bash feat no longer shows up on the character sheet. I think changing the shields apperance may have had something to do with it? With the shield equipped, I select shield bash and my AB still goes down by 2.

Nothing about Shield Bash changed, except that it is now called Improved Shield Bash instead of Shield Bash. The bonus provided by this shield is now a passive feat, not an active one. Anyone can use Shield Bash from the GUI (or from your feat list), whether or not you have this shield, but using shield bash without this shield or without the improved shield bash feat will cause you to lose your shield's AC when performing a shield bash attack.

Okay I get it now. But since that feat is now redundant the price of the shield should be lowered (or just remove the feat from the shield). You have to admit it's deceptive to people unfamiliar with the new systems.

It already is. The shield provides Improved Shield Bash. Improved Shield Bash removes the AC penalty when using shield bash. The shield is still mechanically valuable - it's the only way to make shield bash attacks without losing your shield bonus to AC without using a feat on shield bashing.

Now, if the name showing up on the shield is wrong, then I can look at it. But that should have been updated automatically.

I bought the shield before the changes and its working fine even after the change. Its giving improved shield bash for me(free basic shield bash, equip shield and drag improved shield bash feat to quickbar, activate it like normal)

Well. Nevermind.
