Improved Evasion not always applying

As the title says.

Several times now both me and InsomnesCanis have taken damage from traps with a Reflex save, despite succeeding the save by a large margin.

I have additionally noticed taking damage from breath weapons and spells despite succeeding their reflex saves too.

None of these times have been with armor worn or while encumbered.

While it does sometimes work, the times where it doesn't have all been against Acid damage.

Many traps do not save to reduce damage - they save to remove secondary penalty.

Traps like Acid Blob will do full damage, and have a reflex save to avoid paralysis.
The only traps that have Reflex-Saves for half damage (and thus Improved-Evasion for 0) are Fire, Electrical, Spike, and Acid Splash.
