Hunter-Traps never hostile to hostile players

It appears that Hunter-Traps, as defined by traps spawned with the Hunter-Trapping class ability of the Ranger class-kit, are always friendly to players.

This means that these traps:
1) Are always visible to all players, regardless of ally/neutral/hostile status
2) Will never trigger from player proximity, regardless of ally/neutral/hostile status.

The fact that these traps do not respect hostility seems like a substantial bug in the mechanic.
While being untriggered by neutrals is clearly the intended design paradigm, not affecting hostile targets with a class weapon-ability is definitely wonk.

I think the previous system was better entirely. Setting someone Hostile to they can set off your trap is a bit meta in my book. ijs

That is the problem. Currently, toggling hostile will not cause someone to set off the Hunter-Trap, even if it is placed after they have been set hostile.

Which is to say - as currently implemented a Hunter-Trapping class-ability will never affect PCs and is a purely PvE mechanic.
Normally placed traps from trap-kit items work fine.

I am a proponent of affecting neutrals, but that would be a design-intention discussion; rather than the clear bug listed in this report.
