Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I took the improved familiar feat so at lvl 21 my familiar gets ANY free touch spell as a 3 use/day ability. I (Drinmar Ironfaar) decided to take polymorph self even though its only a lvl 3 spell, however it doesn't appear to work for a familiar. Any chance this can fixed or can I get a RCR?

Also, I tried to remove XP to delevel and that doesn't allow me to repick the epic familiar spell.

you have ability to chose new familar every 10 days. When you use it to chose new one (you can even chose same) you will be able to change this spells.

As a Wizard you should find the Find/Bind familiar feat (not sure which word atm) on your char sheet, it has a week cooldown but you can use it to pick the same familiar with the same name but different spell.

As for the Polymorph as ability, I think it is either a forgotten and forbidden resource for familiars or the Polymorph script only works on type actor "player". The spell cast via the ability says something like Casting: Polymorph, Troll. Instead of the standard spell message. Also familiars can't cast Polymorph using masters spellbook as with other touch spells and even when casting Polymorph by the wizard on a familiar (as the spell here works as both Polymorph self and polymorph other) it doesn't give familiar the Shift Shape feat so they can't transform, in the same way, casting Polymorph as familiar ability on wizard doesn't seem to count for use of the Shift Shape feat as it says on use, you need Polymorph or Shapechange active.

Quite a few are awaiting ToT's conclusion before returning; though there is another issue with the familiars in which they don't properly persist the new familiar that was bound and can revert to what was chosen at character creation a day or even a server reset after and can't alter again due to the tenday binding restriction. There are a few new quirks with the familiar AI, and general responsiveness of the cast (item swap event detection false-positive, parry toggle when its not on, etc) that just generally is unfavorable for use in game at this time.
