Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I have level 4 wizard and have been trying for the previous four resets to bind familiar (bonebat). I am able to select it from the list menu but the resulting familiar is a ordinary bat. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong. My alignment is Neutral Evil.

Tested this with a lvl 1 character. Rested before using Bind Familiar. Maybe that is the fix, just like the Cooldown Fixer feat says.

Is this the first time you are binding familiar on that character? There is a week long CD on binding a new familiar so you can only do it once a week, it should write up a message in the combat log window when you try to use it.

Yes its first time using this character. It says that message about the cooldown, does it mean like a real life week or game time? At least every reset I am able to get to the selection list. Server is resetting right now, so soon I can test again.

It's RL week. Sometimes the bind familiar thing can bug out the first time you use it and default to a base familiar and then be unable to switch it until the CD ends. But I'll double check the script.

Ok, thanks for the info. I quess easiest is to rebuild the character and try to do it correctly at the first time then.

Rebuilding the same named character doesn't work, my quess it is tied to the character name in the database.
