Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I recently joined your server on NWN2 and made my first character a half-drow.. I tried when choosing a background to pick 'The High Forest (Half-elf)' quite a few times, but every time I got to the feats screen at creation it was 'Uthgardt Tribes (Human)' instead and I couldn't get it to change to the other. I created the character anyway hoping it was just showing the wrong tooltip, but alas.. I now have a half-drow Uthgardt human character. If anyone could help me correct this or some advice would be great. Really had heart set on this character

Hi and welcome. understand this is probably not ideal introduction. I have tested it, and it seems the issue is specific to that background feat, for example Western Heartland - Dwarf works correctly. So I have forwarded it to devs to check. Thanks for reporting.

Edit: As for correcting, surefire way would be to wait for the fix and make it then (yeah not ideal) or ask DM/admin to change it manually if they can (not sure if that can be done before the fix) although since the feat also gives languages etc and the system doesn't allow to change them, might create other issues and someone else would have to chip in on that side of things.

This is most likely a bugged name/description rather than the wrong feat (as there's no specific race-related restrictions to any background, so whichever one you picked is the one you get). So you don't need to ask a DM for help, we'll have to look at the name/description entry for the feat and fix it on our end. Once that's done, it'll update automatically.

So I don't need to delete the character then. Great thanks again

Well, new problem then. When I talk to Lathander or Chauntea (which is, I assume how you enter the game) I have apparently broken the 3b20 rule or I have an invalid domain. My character is a cleric of Eilistraee with the war and strength domains which seems unlikely sure, but I do have RP reasons for them. Just got you ask me ic. If I can ever get this character in the server.

Domains are not something that has to make sense to the character, but the gods. The gods support specific domains, and Eilistraee does not support these. Here is a list:

All right well you've given me something to think about. I may scrap the cleric and go for a bard. Never played a either cleric or bard before so I'll likely be back to the cleric eventually. Thank you for your help.
