Artist and +3 songs/day

My apologies if this has been answered before but my "search foo" has failed me...
Does Artist count as 3 bard songs a day as per: [the ingame description does not mention this]?

The manual says Artist grants +2 Perform and +3 Bardsongs per day, but this is incorrect.
apparently Kaedrin's Pack fixes this so that:

Character gains a +2 bonus on Perform and Diplomacy checks. Moreover, 3 uses/day of bardsong added. These count as bard levels when qualifying for feats such as Battle Dancer and Song of Requiem.
So I am uncertain.
