New Level-Up Packages - Need Player Help

Hello players of BGTSCC!

As part of the pve rework, we're going to want to help support new players who may not be as knowledgeable on mechanics as veterans. To that end, we need better "Recommended" options that account for BGTSCC's custom content, as well as the fact that many of the original packages are just... bad.

We'd like to our player base to help provide us with a variety of leveling packages for all of our base classes. Staff doesn't have the time to do this, so we're reaching out to the community to help. These can include PRC paths, they don't have to be pure class. We'd like to have a minimum of 5 for each base class, if possible. They need to include all of the considerations you'd have when leveling up properly: Stats, feats, skill points, spell choices, and so on.

This thread will be left up until we've gotten our minimum number of packages.

Thank you for your help!

Sounds fun.

Brainstorming concepts that I'll flesh out with build packages at a later point.

Goal. Rounded character progression through entirety of leveling process.
Stay away from OP minmax.
Looking to make build choices that synergize with the base-class and choose PRCs that RP-wise flows naturally from the base class and general concept for each build.

Feel free to offer tweak insights. Especially for skill and background choice :)

AND yes, I am aware I have not yet chosen Background feats or Skill loadout for the posted links. Saving that for last.

Sorcerer
- Arcane Scholar
- Dragon Disciple
- Thaumaturge
- Blood Magus

Each pushing the player toward the pre requisites for each of these 4 classes. These 4 are probably the most used for sorcerers, or at least the most easily effective given the right skills and feats.

I think new players would be best served with packages that direct them to the "next step" of their character.

Just a reminder, we need full build paths. Every level, every skill point, feat, etc.

Yup. Will take me some time to get through it all.

If I might come with a suggestion: Don't make these packages min-maxed. Avoid dumpstats as much as possible. Make them relatively generic.

Took a shot at this, a barbarian build. I've added several notes here and left the 'optional' slots open.

I put in only what's require creating the build in question, without need for race or back round.

Ya, Skimisher needed to be min-maced due to EDM + needing 13 Dex for bashes. The others stay away from negative scores unless picking up Steadfast feat, for example.

I suppose that one could be removed. I am currently playing an evil version of it and it surely rocks hard. I suppose I could drop EDM and cleric from it to make it generic.

Because this is for new players and is more about making sure they can do content over RP, I'm fine with a little bit of minmaxing. Like, certainly, try and focus on generic and RP flavored characters, but if minmaxing is required for the build to function, then that's okay too. Because what we don't want is mechanically weak builds that are a lot of fluff but that get players wrecked, like old vanilla packages are.

I thought of my own addition to this. Druid is newbie friendly, it's hard to f*ck up a druid, you kind of always can do content and its easy to play. So, by thinking about the three main "archetypes" a druid has, I thought up three classical builds druids have on the server. Didn't do the skills, I feel nwn2db's skills are just too different from our own to do it properly in that site.
Druid
"Spellcaster" (Druid 22 / Hiero 8)

"Shifter" (Druid 10 / Shifter 20)

Then do it here, please, or with google sheets or something. Any unfinished builds can't be added, it's too much work on staff to handle all of this ourselves, that's why we're delegating to the community.

Are you trying to change the 'suggested' selection. As in when they punch the suggested button?

Try this one out. Intended to be bare bones basic for a new player who doesn't know the system, clearly can be reworked for better results.
Other builders trying this out, feel free to speak up on suggested changes. Not a power build but shouldn't be a dead build either.

All selections should be checked off for you in here, if this format works for you and the staff it'll at least give us the starting point of how to drum up these builds for you. Do you want some multiclass options as well? Similar to the Barbarian/Frenzied Berserker in base game?

Still needs a list of what skills are taken on each level. Unless the intent is it only puts points in the same skills every level?

Yes, multiclassing is fine as long as it's not kits.
