Here's a suggestion: change druid dragon shape to another strong, but less rare and EPIC, animal shape whilst keeping the same stats. I'm saying this as someone who likes dragons and loves to play druids, but it's very immersion-breaking to see so many of us turn into one of the most special animal shapes in the setting every Tuesday.

As a tangent, the shapes available to the level 9 arcane spell Shapechange and some of the higher level summons, such as balors, dragons, Elon Musks etc, could benefit from the same treatment, if you ask me.

Many alternative shapes of similar power were added. It's people's choice to continue choosing dragon despite other options being available.

To second Rhifox’s comment, Epic Elemental Shapes kick major ass, and far easier to qualify for.

Honestly I think they weren't advertised much Or maybe I was too distracted. Either way, I just saw the elemental forms and they are amazing!

I think Cosmic just means they don't want to see so many PCs changing into legendary creatures that should be rare sighting and awe inspiring. It makes the extraordinary into the mundane.

Precisely right. I myself play a druid with dragon shape, but only because those epic shapes are the way for a druid to be successful at epic level. I wish the stats remained but the ultra epic and rare forms themselves were replaced with more logical ones so as to reduce the clown-world effect.

Comparing a few dozen aasimar played by players to people turning into dragons or summoning balors every day is completely absurd.

from a druid to a druid, legendary beasts are just as good as dragon shape, it is not needed

Even if they had the exact same stats, it would still be silly to have dragon shape available.

This is part of a larger problem with both nwn2 and bgtscc trivialising what should be special and rare. Be it shape-shifting forms, summons or bosses, having balors, pit fiends, dragons, planetars etc as daily sightings is bad for a rp server set in FR. This is not Planescape.

to be fair, if you make something an option at all then at least 50 people are going to be doing it

and if you attempt to filter it, people who are denied scream favoritism

there is no such thing as rare when its offered to the masses
