Let us heard what Christmas song you heard to hit the Christmas Spirit

My self i have found 3 songs but the first one is this one and i didt know it was a old Song from 1867 i was sure it was their owe but i google it and found out how old it is, here it is

I used to really dislike Christmas songs, because I always felt they were kind of boring (and also because as entirely nonreligious, the lyrical content of the most religious songs - and hymns - are kind of meaningless to me). But I eventually realised that the performance and interpretation (as they say in the jazz world) can really make christmas songs amazing. Al Jarreau's christmas album was pretty good, for example. Jazz, mind you, so it might not be for everyone.

Does make me "hit the christmas spirit"? Nah, probably not. I think that comes with more than just music, though I do think music adds to it. Food, the cold and dark of winter, the lights and decorations. Indeed, society around us preparing for christmas. Visually. Psychologically. Sociologically. All of this contributes.

That said, I'm not entirely sure what constitutes "the christmas spirit", so maybe I'm way off either way!

Nah, I get that some just don't get into "the Christmas spirit". I would imagine (since I have no experience with this) that to a non-religious person, Christmas would seem much like a "Hallmark Holiday" like Valentines Day. I love Christmas music; secular or religious. I always have.

One thing I'm finding out, with me doing a bunch of Christmas songs this year, is that so many Christmas songs lend themselves to the jazz genre. Many of the songs that I'm doing, I'm calling "Jazz adjacent", and not jazz. Reason being, I'm using a computer to make all the tracks, so I can't really program the human feel of jazz. I can get it somewhat close, but anything that swings is hard to program into sheet music that a computer plays.

DM Ghost I know youre more in to music then iam but if you dont get inspiration and the enegry to help others in this cold dark time christmas time by the songs so why have text ?
