Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I always found it strange that martial weapon proficiency is the only way to be able to take this class. If you're proficient with exotic weapons, wouldn't you be as equally skilled as someone with martial proficiency if not more so? You are skilled at using more exotic weapons. It would be nice if I wouldn't have to take an extra feat to qualify for the PrC if I decided to make a Wizard or Sorcerer that likes to use a bastard sword or katana instead of a more traditional martial weapon.

Old suggestion I came upon while looking through my history. Figured I'd give it a bump since there was no response to it.
