Physical description:
Of humble Stature, Oleander's presence is unassuming enough at first glance to go unnoticed like most hobbit folk. That Unassuming mantle, however, belies an underlying confidence and surety of person. Lightly tanned skin and dark hair compliment deep green eyes that glimmer with a zest for life.Years spent growing up within a small tight knit community has left him with an open posture and quick smile, offering an air of approachability.
A traveler at heart and soul, Oleander is oft cloaked in a brown and gold stitched traveling coat, complete with wide cowl to keep the rains of the coast at bay. Strapped Across his back are a pair of Estocs, Long blades Tailored for the thrust set with cruciform hilts.
A life of travel leaves it's marks, while Oleander strives to present a clean and unblemished image this sometimes proves impractical or impossible. Hints of mud sometimes stain his boots, or road dust may linger upon an otherwise fine coat.

Psychological description:
Pleasant and outgoing Oleander is much akin to his fellow Halflings in his love for the quiet comforts of a good home and peaceable community. Believing that good life is one lived among a good company, and that fortune is best measured in the quality of person around you than in the strength of one's pocketbook. Quick to lend aid and liberal with his coin Oleander presents largely as a sanguine personality, loathe to leave problems easily solved undressed especially if he can be seen to be solving it.An outward face of humility belies the vice of pride and choleric personality that linger below that sanguine surface. For while Oleander does truly and genuinely love the quiet comforts of a simple life the fact remains he still chose to abandon that life for many years, forging out on his own blade in hand to create his own legend and tales. A point when brought up he simply refers to as a bout of "itchy feet" and nothing more.
There are a few people and things that inspire wrath and unreasonableness in the self-styled Marchwarden. Formost among them is open displays of cruelty or affiliation with cruel exploitative organisations. Clergy of dark gods, Red wizards of Thay, and particularly storied bandits all inspire an affronted and at points unreasonable stubbornness that unchecked has the propensity to devolve into violence.
Having grown up in Crimel a small town of about 500 hin bordering the Lluirwood, Oleander lived through several Attacks from the various dangers that wander the wood during his formative years instilling a healthy respect for personal skill at arms and for the tenants and teachings of Arvoreen the wary sword.
Religious views:
Oleander is a devout believer in Arvoreen, and to him, holding faith with the wary sword is a critical part of every young halflings development. In his eyes it is the duty of every member of the community to cultivate an understanding of combat and violence, so that should their peaceable way of life be disturbed that each member has a firm and ready grasp of what they should be doing should the worst arrive.Above this understanding Oleander expects that those devoted to the wary sword take an active interest in developing their personal combat prowess and group drills. Borrowing the attitude of the Bigfolk god Tempus in that the Halflings must "Defend what you believe in, lest it be swept away." along with the principles of vigilance against threats Oleander believes in a proactive rather than reactionary response to danger and monstrous incursion that might be considered "asking for trouble" by the more flighty Lightfoot halflings of Gullykin, yet reflects the more conservative and traditionalist views of defense held by many Strongheart Halflings.

History
Childhood and early life:
The only child of two loving parents raised among a small but close knit community along the borders of the Lluirwood, Oleander knew a contented and happy childhood. Whilst lacking for quantity of friends Oleander had the company of four other children from the village and a vast expanse of green wilderness around the village for games.Quick to tussle and scrap with the other boys Oleander from a young age held keen interest in tales of the clever and quick witted halfling heroes who though skill and tricks brought low foes who otherwise over matched their diminutive race.
As the years drew on however Oleander left aside that adventurers spirit of boyhood in favor of the more [i[grown up[/i] practicality of helping his mother and father in their daily tasks, still quietly nurturing hopes of one day becoming a hero himself, though much more privately.
Around his twenty first summer Oleander announced to his Father that he wanted to leave Crimel for the big city (Beluir) and to find his own fortune and adventure. Which much to Oleander's surprise was greeted not with protest and objections but much back slapping and good cheer. His father remarking that "You're a Stonehearth after all." Being gifted with two sets of rugged traveling clothes, and his father's trusty rapier which if stories are to be believed he won in a game of cards from one of the bigfolk sailors in Beluir. Though the truth of the matter involves an unpaid bartab a drunken brawl and an evening of light fingered appropriation.
Coming of age:
With the family blessing and high hopes Oleander departed Crimel bright eyed and hopeful for his own heroic tale, and for a couple of years that illusion stuck with him. Flitting from tavern to tavern and bar to bar along Beluir's port, swapping tales with bigfolk and halfling alike, untill a fledgling adventuring company offered Oleander a space in their party. Intent on braving the Lluirwood, the company had received a commission to hunt down and slay a massive monster whose predation and voracious appetite had seen to the loss of livestock and two farmers near Fasruil.Striking out with the band known as "The brimming cup" for the ever-full silver goblet of sweet red wine they carried, Oleander got his first taste of what real adventuring life was. Lumpy bedrolls, blistered feet, soggy cloaks, and worst of all dried rations. Rather put out about the bards leaving out the various uncomfortables of the Hero business he carried on despite realities presented, even going so far as to try and cheer up the rest of his more experienced band when a particularly mud fouled road led to their wagon and supplies becoming hopelessly mired.
Tendays of hard travel later had the group tired but whole upon the outskirts of their hunting ground. Ruined Farm house in sight along with an old trail and massive foot prints lead the band into the borders of the Lluirwood deeper and deeper until the canopy blotted out almost all of the midday light.

Training:
Some tendays later Oleander awoke among the people of Fasriul with two of his original companions. A recounting of his own memories and what he pieced together from the remainder of "The Brimming Cup" their group was rescued by a retired Marchwarden and his lion companion. The monstrous and mutated Hill Giant having been dispatched thanks to the companies efforts and the intervention of Rayce Meddowdown. Parting from the company Oleander sought out the elderly Marchwarden and spent the next three years learning from the grizzled veteran. Taking to wielding the awkwardly sized rapier as an Estoc sized for a halfling. Growing proficient with flourishes, sweeping strikes, and acrobatics Oleander was eventually dismissed from his teachers service with a more grounded understanding of adventuring and his own proficiency. Heading west out of Luiren and into wider realms.Oleander's travels west took him through many varied places and spaces. Doing his best to learn from each culture and people he passed along his way north and west.
