Background: Shaliya is from an onorthodox line, for her mother was a Tiefling and her father had elven and fae blood. She never really knew her father, she only heard told he was a charming adventurer. Her mother was a tiefling and everyone disliked her in Triel, people expressely made detours to avoid her. When the adventurer left after showing her more care then people liked, people refused to even sell things to her for seducing the adventurer. She give birth alone in her dilapided cotage. Shaliya was 5 when the village had a bad harvest and they all blamed her mother. Her mother didn't have time to run, only to hide Shaliya in the root cellar from where she saw her mother being killed. She fled to Soubar where she was taken in as an orphan. Her beauty and almost too innocent look made everyone like her, for they didn't know where she came from. She worked hard on the son of the wealthiest family in Beregost hoping to get out of poverty and gain respectability, but the father wouldn't have his precious son marry an orphan! So he payed her to go away and even arranged for her to join a caravan to Baldur's Gate. She is hoping to have new start in the big city and find an even better patron or even a rich husband.
