Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hey guys. Anyone have any advice? I was just playing on the server. Then, suddenly I couldn't move at all. I was disconnected. Then I tried to rejoin. The game crashed. So I started fresh closing everything in task manager.

I then rejoin again. and I keep repeatedly getting booted. Is there a way to fix this?

Edit: Can't join on any character. All are booted.

2nd Final Edit: There was a strangeness going on in the server for me. I'm not sure if anyone else experienced it or not.

It is now resolved.

Basically. I was able to logon to a surface character, none of the underdark though. Upon logging out of the surface character, then logging back in under another underdark character. My game crashed. Simultaneously, my computer completely locked up. This is something I've never seen on this pc before. It's really top of the line. I was most impressed if anything. As I can run even the most demanding VR games on max graphics with no framerate drop.

Anyway. After the reboot, I was able to successfully login as normal and play in the underdark. Uncertain as to how, why, or what but, it's working.

After speaking with some awesome people including a DM, I decided to add all of the answers I received in one area, as to help anyone that may run into this issue in the future.

Above is posted the first resolve that I encountered. Logout of character, swap to a different server type character. i.e. If you're in the underdark login to a surface character, logout, log back into underdark character.

The second possible solve is to to logout and when you're about to connect through direct connect at the end of the IP address add this including the colon :5122

Check server list to make sure the server hasn't crashed.

When the server crashes (which it has at least twice today), you cannot log back in until the server has restarted. You will be timed out on every connection attempt until the server is back up.

I recommend looking at the server list instead, as you will be able to see if the server is down or if it is loading (red name).

Oh wait! Where's the server list? I just was looking at the top and still showed players. xD

I did get in contact with a DM in game who helped a bit. and a couple players told me the :5122 trick as well. So I think it will be good next time it happens.

Now I just gotta figure out the whole game crashing thing. My game crashes a lot too. But not the last week. Just the last few days.
