Hide Boots Toggle Button on Appearance Changer UI

Many of the custom outfits have built-in boots. Of course if you LIKE the boots that come pre-set into an outfit you can set your own equipped boots to MP_60 appearance to make them "invisible", but there's no option for going the other way around. You can't hide the built-in boots so that you can see the equipped boots appearance. Best you can hope for is that the built-in boots are slender enough to hide inside of the equipped boots you want. Usually not the case.


So, on the appearance changer's screen for changing the armor (chest) appearance, how about a check-box we can click to make the armor's builtin boots invisible so that we can see our equipped boots appearance? Is that possible? Or would that require re-mapping every model that has its own boots?

It would require creating a second model, hidden from the regular appearance list, and mapping it to this model. It's a ridiculous amount of work for what amounts to "I want a variant of this outfit without built-in boots".

... As for the boots themselves... I've complained about them for ages, especially the heels on many of the female outfits my characters would otherwise have used. There's no technical solution for it: The boots are part of the model, they can't be removed without going into Blender or what have you and cutting them out, so your only recourse is to convince the authors to not make more outfits with built-in boots.

Yeah, I was afraid that was the case. I hoped that maybe they could be hidden based upon the part of the model attached to the "shins and feet" part of the rigging, but it was only a faint hope.

And yeah, some of those high heels are completely ludicrous. My char is supposed to run in those?
