I noticed power attack gives 2x damage boost with short spears , even with a shield equipped for a human character .
Posting in case it's unintended .

I am noting an increase in damage when I use my sword 1-handed with power attack as well.

Confirmed. Power Attack is doing double damage when a weapon is equipped as a one-haneded weapon. It's not just an appearance bug where it says it's doing double but it's not. It is actually doing double.

Screenshot As you can see in the above screenshot, this char has a katana +4 with 1d6 sonic and +7 strength bonus. Her maximum non-critical damage with Power Attack with the weapon equipped one-handed should be 27 physical and 6 sonic (10 katana, 4 enhance, 6 power attack, 7 strength). The screenshot clearly shows her doing 32 physical damage on two non-critical hits. She was not using her Man At Arms abilities in this fight.

Sheesh, the floodgates just burst open.

This was fixed the day it was reported (see campaign revision 942 in the dev feed), it just hasn't gone live yet.
